An appliance installation shouldn’t take longer than an hour, but try to keep up to four hours free. The installers should bring all the necessary parts and tools, but you can prepare by running through this pre-delivery checklist.
1. MAKE PLANS FOR YOUR OLD APPLIANCE
Most retailers offer services that uninstall your previous appliance and haul it away. All you have to do is make sure the appliance is completely empty. Check your space for a three-pronged, 110-volt outlet. Make sure there are hot and cold water valves within four feet of the washer, and that they’re in good working order and have standard metal connections.
