Rated 1 out of 5 by watch19 from DON'T BUY FROM HOME DEPOT Bought a Model MGD4500MW1 from Home Depot in February. Stress at time of purchase that dryer was to be used with propane and we were assured several times that the conversion kit was included with the dryer. Conversion kit was not included and many phone calls to store and Home Depot Corporate Customer Service they finally sent the 49572A conversion kit. The kit was incorrect; the regulator cap was wrong diameter and thread. After checking several parts site one has stated that the W1581316 kit is the correct kit. Problem is every site I check states this kit is not compatible with this model dryer. At this point I have a useless $700+ paper weight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Seafox1 from Maytag gas dryer model MGD6200KW3 I purchased this gas dryer from Lowe’s and it was delivered four days ago. I wanted to convert it to propane gas and found out after it was delivered. There is not a conversion kit made for it. They have sold several of these gas dryers and reading other reviews and people have the same problem, if you do not return it in 48 hours, they will not except it on a return. I also found out, that you order it through Lowe’s, and somebody else fills the order by the name of spirit. They are selling these, knowing it cannot be converted, however keep on selling them , I now have a gas dryer I cannot use and I’m out almost $1000. Beware of any appliances you buy through Lowe’s.

I have a brand new washing machine, less than one month old, that rarely makes it thru a cycle and shuts down. I need to unplug and restart and hopefully it does on the first try. The dryer needs to be converted to lp and was given the wrong part and the part that is needed is unavailable. Your products stink. And the rating needs to be 0

Rated 1 out of 5 by Monte J from Conversion Kit on Factory back order I bought a Maytag washer and gas dryer and have tried finding a gas conversion kit, finally got someone that could tell me the correct kit required and it is on factory back order. The issue is the blocking pin in other kits are smaller thread size and the pin is too long. Why would you redesign a burner assembly and no plan on having the redesigned blocking pin? Very disappointed to have to wait for the correct kit to be available!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dealer from Selling dryers without conversion kits Whirlpool knew about this months ago. I brought it to their attention in November. They had the wrong kit listed for the dryer WGD5050LW and STILL have the same, wrong kit listed. This is the kit you will need, but they don't exist. They won't be producing them until at least March. Good luck with the dryer that you cannot use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by wrj3 from Conversion Kit out of stock Awful customer service! I purchased my Maytag gas dryer in November 2022. I cannot get the conversion kit W11581316 from you guys. So I have a dryer sitting in my foyer and cannot do laundry. I don't understand why this kit, consisting of 4 parts, is such an issue. I have called you parts service center 4 times and each time it has taken over 40+ minutes to get a person on the line. Then they can't give me any answers about my conversion kit status. This will certainly be the last time I purchase a Maytag or Whirlpool appliance.
